Love les brothers!! They have huge portions for everything. Also, you have to ask for Marva! She's a great sever! She knows our whole family. They have a full bar too! Great mimosas, and bloody's.

3-4 * to be fair I was there with a friend and had the skirt steak with Greek potatoes and navy bean soup. the soup was solid good and well balanced, the steak and the potatoes were good as well they also came with a side of peas, they were just peas but I love peas so :-) To be honest I think the food here is better than other diners I have been to. And the service was nice and helpful diner worthy. 3-4 * not a fan like I would go out of my way to go there, but not bad at all that I would shy away from it.

My family and I came to this place late evening. We have dined here many of times late at night and their food was always decent and came out fresh. This last time, however, not so much. It's like, when they took our order, they just randomly decided to give us the complete opposite of what we requested. We ordered our burgers medium, but instead they gave us well done and burnt. I ordered a breakfast combo with pancakes and the pancakes came out rubbery and overcooked. Some of the food even came out cold! We brought this disaster of an experience to the manager's attention, but he didn't even care. He never offered to fix anything or take anything off the bill, as there were plates of food that were not even eaten due to the order coming out wrong. He just said in a careless manner that he was "sorry" and that was all. He had no problem of taking our hard earned money at the register for his sloppy, overcooked and tasteless food, though. He made sure he did a good job of that! What a rip-off! Poor customer service. The manager has a terrible attitude, and if your food comes out wrong, they don't care. They won't fix it or try and make it right. In other words, you're taking a gamble when you go there. If your food comes out bad, just forget about telling them, because they will not doing anything about it and make you pay for their over-priced slop anyway, but, hey, at least their bad attitude comes for free. Never again will I come back here!

Ahhh.. Was just there today. I order 3 bacon egg and cheese croissants. The girl just kept inturupting me Through my order asking "is tht all? Is that all " waited 20 and got my food to go. When I got my food. I didn't receive it nicely in a bag. But I got this bulky box. Whatever no biggie. Then as I'm walking out I'm checking my food. Its messing bacon and cheese. So then I go in and I tell girl who took my order. "I ordered bacon on these can they put the bacon on there." She runs to the back and comes back and says she has to charge me for it. I thought that was fine but then some guy walks up and hands me a Styrofoam box and says "here's your 3 orders of bacon" wtf. I expected them to fix my order. Whatever I just want to go home at this point. I get home and I grab my sand which and its wet. Just like my fries were... I had enough I wasn't going to pay for wet food I had to assemble my self. We took it back and the manager had the best attitude he apologize and asked for it to be remade or if we wanted our money back. We asked for out money back and he offered the food to us. But we declined. Very good attitude. Would of gotten one star but the way handled it was better then I expected.

A wide variety of foods, all of them good. Not enough family owned restaurants left, so you need to support them so we don't just have chains to pick from.

You can't order anything different from the menu , they can't figure it out! They get upset I you question them. Can figure the price if is not programed in the computer already. but you have to order what you don't want. I ordered a bacon egg sandwich on rye and they told me I had to get a bacon egg sandwich on rye with grease soaked hash browns that's how they register rings it up.

Yummy!!! Did not see kabobs on the menu but I asked for them and I sure got them! Got a nice loaded plate., 2 skewers with juicy chicken kabobs, peppers, onions and tomatoes amidst deliciously flavored rice. I'm a big soup fan and felt their chicken soup was VERY TASTY too! I WILL be back!!

Great place for breakfast! Always great good, usually just breakfast. The customer service is pretty good unless you get the older waitresses. They are always rude & never check on you or forget you put your order in. The younger waitresses are si much nicer & always turn your day around with their upbeat attitude.

This is your typical "Greek family" owned diner with Mexican cooks, lots of good food for the money......however, the last time I took my Mom here in July, she was slightly disappointed in her Liver and Onions and I was slightly disappointed in my full slab of ribs.......not as good in years past......maybe it was just a bad day for the cooks.....but breakfasts, you can never finish the whole thing.

The best food around! I ve been a repeat customer for over 40 years! We have 6 generations of customers in our family and George remembers each of us when we come in! I have never had a meal there that I was not satisfied with! A dinner comes complete with coffee or soda, salad, soup, and dessert-just like the old days! There are daily specials and a large senior menu as well as different diet options. They sponsor local kids teams and are a permanent part of our neighborhood. Keep up the good work!

I think I'm about to write the worse review I've ever written on Yelp. I'm only giving it one star because I need to review the place...I would give it 0 stars if I could! The service sucked! Our waitress was ridiculous..she had a bad attitude with us, but when she spoke to the other diners (who were age 40 and up), she was sweet and considerate. Horrible service! The other table's food came out before ours (they had a party of 4+ and there were only 2 of us). We had to constantly ask for things, and I noticed she would frequently follow-up with people at other tables. She never asked us how things were going, but she'd ask others. I had to ask for re-fills all the time. She didn't bring out my mashed potatos lol. She treated us as if we were delinquents or something! And it wasn't just her..I noticed bad stares from other employees in the house. Are they mistaking us for other people or something? We weren't loud, obnoxious, or anything so idk what their deal was. I'm never going back and will tell everyone whoever mentions this place about my horrible experience with them. The food was blah. I got the Grecian beef ka-bobs and my friend got the chicken ka-bobs. She liked her food, but I wasn't impressed. The rice pilaf was saturated in too much citrus. The beef was tough and unflavorful. The only thing I really enjoyed on the dish were the grilled vegetables...but how could anyone mess that up? The coffee was watered down. The bread rolls were hard and cold. The crackers were probably 20 years old. The soup tasted like tomato paste with brown rice (supposed to be beef barley). I can't stress more about how bad this place was. I'm getting grossed out typing about it.

If you enjoy being served by rude people.. Cold or old food. and being talked about by servers then enjoy your time here... I used to come to this Restaurant all the time. Unless, I overheard the servers talking about all their customers. very very slow service.. Never coming back.. Jedi is way better...

My wife and I were not impressed with Les Brothers. I understand it is a diner, but I do not think I will be dining there again. The Good: The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food. For some, these are the most important and sometimes only criteria for a good restaurant. If you think like that, you will probably like this place. The Bad: The food just was not good. We got breakfast food and it was very greasy. Both my wife and I did not feel very well after eating because of the fat and grease content. Also, the waitstaff was not friendly. Our waitress could have been having a bad day but as I looked around it looked as if everyone who worked there was miserable. Like I said, could have just been a bad day but that is all I have to go on. I would not recommend this restaurant if you care about how your food is made. If you want to save money, try Jedi's Garden on Cicero. Same style food but 1000% better quality and a negligible price difference.

While this is not the most exciting place to eat, the food is a great value and actually good. I think the soup is amazing and the staff is typically friendly and efficient. If you have $20 for a breakfast or lunch - this is the place to go!!! My only complaint is that they do not do a great job with special orders and try to substitute generic soda for coca-cola products.

3.5 stars - Solid joint in the SW burbs right around the corner from where my dad grew up - have gone there a few times lately as we've been in town quite a bit, and not for anything fun... As I said, totally solid, but I think that a lot of people out there get all hot and bothered about a place because they can get so much food they're sick for 8 bucks, which for me means either throwing it out or taking it home (and often later throwing it out). The food is good, but nothing I've had has knocked my socks off - reliable yes, filling absolutely. I got a tuna sandwich today with enough tuna on it to make 3 sandwiches... The staff are friendly and service is very efficient, and you'll always have coffee and your food will be out very quickly, even if it seems pretty busy. Obviously and deservedly an institution in Oak Lawn.

I used to really like this place for their Chicken sandwich on Focacia Bread and their soup. But for their breakfast i ordered TWO Omlettes without cheese and they put cheese on both times. That hit a nerve with me and I have not been back...

I love eating here. Their soup and salad (what I normally get - not big on hearty food, although I've heard that's good here too) is the best I've ever had and if you go at night and sit at a booth, you might get this one waitress who is just the nicest woman ever. She will refill your coffee after you take just one sip sometimes. I always tip her very well. They also have kiddie cocktails, which I'm addicted to and they're not very expensive. The food is a little more expensive than any of the other greasy spoon places around here but I'd say it is worth it for the most part.

I've been coming to this place for years. Cheap food and you get a lot. Not to mention it taste good too. The owner is always here working too. Super nice guy named George. Thanks for the great food!

Outside looks dated- inside too. Many customers are inside, more than I have ever seen. Food today though becomes totally undesirable. Table where I am seated seems to be clean. Right off I order unsweetened ice tea and my waitress says, "You're in luck hon', that's the only kind we serve." The unsweetened ice tea comes and it is just awful- undrinkable, sort of chemical tasting--I can't really say, because I've never had that kind of taste in my mouth from anything. It was a big disappointment because a great tasting glass of ice tea on a hot day is what I really find satisfying. After I ordered, a bread basket was brought to the table. It was filled with three rolls and soup cracker packages but not filled with fresh baked deliciousness. They were store bought. I ordered cream of chicken soup and it was served within a minute piping hot. I did enjoy it at first but then i noticed the chicken chunks where few and far between and when I did bite into them they tasted exactly like what they were-old hens. This soup was not fresh made but from a can. Before, I was halfway done with the soup, my ribeye sandwich was placed before me, so I moved my bowl of soup off to the side. Picture this - a ten oz. ribeye steak on toasted and buttered hoagie half rolls, and topped with sauted Valencia onions--on the side a serving of thick cut fries. Okay, it looked good. I dug in. Oops! Quickly I realized that the meat was too salty and must have been rated "Select Grade" because not even my huge steak knife could cut the meat; it was laden with connective tissue and fat. My steak knife and fork had to rip and tear through the meat because I definetly couldn't eat the sandwich like a sandwich. I mean really, for a ribeye steak? It should've been easy to cut- like butter. But instead it was like wet salted jerky. Even dry jerky from a Wal-Mart cash register line would have been better. Nothing like biting down on cartilage, fat and salt--yum, all for only 12 bucks. The waitress never brought a glass of ice water. So, I had nothing really to wash the salty flavor out of my mouth from steak and fries except for the horrible unsweetened ice tea--gag! I did ask for water and my waitress said, "No water hon, but if you ask for it we give it." What? What does that mean? I thought, i just did! Really--scrimping on the ice water? No joke it was 91 degrees outside. Oh on a day like this Ice water should not have to be asked for. The sandwich bread turned out to be garlic salt toast and soggy from the steak laying on it. Really??? Garlic Salt toast? More salt!! My waitress came back and said, "Good, don't eat the bread!" "What?," I said. "Oh, I see, you eat the bread separate so you don't miss the steak flavor, good idea!" "Yeah, that's what I did this time." I was a fricken genus! Now, what waitress would sell you a lunch and tell you not to eat part of it? Finally the bill comes. I am not done with my soup, rolls, fries, garlic bread or tea. Not that I will finish them but do they want me outta here? I usually get good food here but this is more than just an off day. The cook is not cooking the food right and too much is store bought or out of a can or salted to death so the natural flavors don't come through. Since money is tight next time I'll take it elsewhere and you should too.

This was the first time ive been to this location. I usually go to the one on 95th. I didn't like this one as much as the one on 95th though. I went on Sunday afternoon so that may have something to do with it. There were 4 adults and 2 children in my party and we were in a very tight space. The service was pretty good though, but the wait was awhile. We waited about 25 minutes to get our food when we usually only wait about 15 minutes at the other location. Aside from that though, the b-fast once again, just as like at the other location, was very good. They are very consistent with their good b-fast at both locations, but I think I MAY have received a little fewer hash browns here. Not a big deal though, but i noticed. However, the restaurant was not very cozy and it smelled a little bit old in there. Maybe this Les Brothers needs a little bit of an upgrade just like the other one already had. But if you want a good b-fast i do recommend this Les Brothers as well.

5 stars! Great food, both quality and quantity! The prices are amazing for the amount of food. The main staff that has been there for many years are all great! One of the best. You will not be disappointed! Highly recommended.

I haven't been to this location in over 10 years. I was rather pleased to find open and operational. It has had a face lift since I have been here last. SO it is looking pretty good. The menu has changed since I have been here last but the prices are still in line with the quality and quantity you receive. Our server was friendly and helpful and she took good care of us. My gyro sandwich was pretty good also. I have a Les Brothers location closer to us but I think I will came back time to time just for the nostalgic feeling I get when I come here.

My family and i have been coming to Les Brothers for many years, we prefer this location to the one in hickory hills even though the one in hickory hills is closer to us. The cream of chicken soup is delish. They also have amazing skirt steaks and burgers. Only reason im giving a 4 is because it isnt always consistent. Nonetheless, great place!

Meh. I got nothing. Decent food, ridiculously large menu but mediocre food at best. Doesn't taste bad, but I have a hard time believing they make some of the food they serve here fresh. Really nothing memorable on the breakfast menu. Basic egg, pancake, bacon, toast kind of items. The decor is very outdated as well. On the bright side..this is the place has a very active senior citizen social scene. Very cute to see all the seniors who are regulars mingle with each other. They are so cheery it just makes you cheery.

So, so. Went here with the Chicago family for dinner. The service was fast and friendly if not a bit overly the the "sweethearts." Better than being ignored or rude! We all got a bowl of cream of chicken soup which was tasty. My cousin ordered the chicken Parm which was a large portion. He loved it except said the noodles were overlooked and had to ask for extra sauce since it was on the dry side. Another family member ordered the salmon patties which were awful! Gray, very fishy, breaded and fried! Weird! The waitress offered to exchange it quickly though, which was a plus. I ordered the turkey club sandwhich with a side of fries. Large serving and nothing to complain about. Definitely a safe item! Not a place I would be craving, but a few tasty items that makes it a fine place to return if the family wants to come back. Won't order fish ever! Will not break the bank...

Don't ever trust fish or steak from this miserable place. The "steak" was like a giant burger patty. Terrible quality. Fish was dry and disgusting. It was like leftover scraps from an actual restaurant. Gross.

it's all good! The food is great. The service could use a tiny boost, but in general; I enjoyed the experience... Ate every crumb! Chicago needs more small businesses like this :-)

This was not my first visit to Les Brothers and the service is usually pretty good at this place. I visited this location on Saturday morning on Feb. 18th and I honestly don't know if I will go back. I normally don't like to mention any names when I do reviews but I honestly think someone needs to address the lack of manners displayed by my waitress. The restaurant was not super busy which is why I was surprised that our waitress did not introduce herself but slammed our water glasses on the table. After looking over the menu I decided to order an omelette with a side of toast. I had to repeatedly ask her for things, like a straw, a refill, among other things. I was never rude to her so I don't know why she was rude to me. When my food finally came, she brought me a side of pancakes instead of toast. I brought it to her attention and she rolled her eyes at me and took the pancakes away. Didn't apologize or anything. I ended up finishing my meal and my toast never came. She seemed like she had a lot of things on her mind and I over heard her telling someone she already had too many tables and didn't want anymore. When I was done eating, she brought my check, didn't ask if i needed anything else, didn't ask how was everything, and didn't bring my toast! As I mentioned before this place is hit or miss when it comes to service. One day you may have someone pleasant serving you then others you may end up with a person who hates their job, at least that's the impression that I got. So if you see Carol, can you please ask her where my toast is?!

This restaurant is so gross, I'm always surprised to see people at it. The inside is dingy and smells. The menu we had was covered in food from previous customers. I was not impressed with our dinner. My suggestion is make the extra 2 mile drive to the other Les Brothers on 95th. Same great food with a cleaner environment.

  • Jan M.

We wanted breakfast before heading home to Ohio, and decided to come here. As usual, we were seated quickly and a friendly server was on hand in a trice. You get a ton of food here for a reasonable price, so come hungry. Between the food and service, this is the place for breakfast in Oak Lawn for us.

  • Danielle S.

Les Brothers is just ok to me. They have a big menu and lots to choose from, and you get a lot of food for what you pay for. But the food is pretty mediocre. It's greasy, bland, and the bread they give you is stale. The service was decent, and the atmosphere is borderline dive-y. If they had better food I would come back, but we were not impressed.

  • Jim S.

Great breakfasts! Dont know who supplies their eggs but DAMN if they arent the best Ive had! Usually get double yolked eggs and the deep golden color of their yolks are amazing. Lunches and dinners are really good - you cant go wrong - Plus they have 6 video slot machines (State controlled) and Ive had payoffs better than driving all the way to Indiana or Joliet to gamble! (the noise is turned off so the slots dont disturb the customers which I like)
